Privacy Policy
Last updated September 4, 2026
This policy explains what ISO Electronics ("we") collects when you use isoelectronics.shop, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and specific on purpose.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address. We need these to charge you, ship the package, and contact you if something goes wrong.
Payment details: your card number never reaches our servers. Checkout happens on Stripe's hosted page, and Stripe sends us only a payment confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand. We could not see your full card number if we wanted to.
Automatically: a session cookie that remembers what's in your cart, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) that our host keeps for security and troubleshooting.
When you email us: whatever you write, plus your email address.
What we don't collect
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party marketing scripts on this site. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, for any price. If that ever changes, this page changes first and we will say so plainly.
Who we share it with
Only the companies needed to complete your order, and only the data each one needs:
- Stripe — processes your payment. Governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Shippo, and through it USPS or UPS — receives your name and shipping address to produce a label and tracking.
- Our web host — stores the site and database.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We will tell you if that happens unless we're legally barred from doing so.
Cookies
We use one cookie: a session cookie that holds your cart and, if you're an administrator, your login. It expires when you close your browser. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there's no consent banner to click through.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Support emails are kept for two years. Server logs roll off after 30 days. If you ask us to delete your data, we'll remove everything we're not legally required to retain.
Security
The whole site runs over HTTPS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 provider. Administrative access is password-protected, and our database credentials sit outside the public web directory. No system is perfect, but we don't store the category of data that makes a breach catastrophic.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email support@isoelectronics.shop and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days and won't charge you or treat you differently for asking.
Massachusetts and other US states: residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and several other states have specific statutory rights to access, deletion, correction, and portability, plus the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We don't sell data or run targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of, but the access and deletion rights apply and the email above is how to use them.
Outside the US: if you're in the UK or EU, we process your data to perform our contract with you (your order) and on the basis of legitimate interest for fraud prevention. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
This store is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top, and for anything significant we'll say so on the home page. Questions go to support@isoelectronics.shop or ISO Electronics, 123 Main St, Boston, MA 02108.
